Five out of the top ten AKC registered breeds are large breed dogs! These include the Labrador Retriever, German Shepherd, Golden Retriever, Boxer and Bulldog. The rest are smaller breed dogs which includes the Yorkie, Beagle, Dachshund, Poodle, and Shih Tzu.
