  Puggle Puppy Tips #1::                                                                                 tips #1  #2

When you bring your puppy home, you need to be patient, and on the first week you have to work hard with your Puggle puppy. Sometimes you get so frustrated you feel bad to have an idea of getting puppy, but be patient the reward is soon to come.

Below tips will help you out for caring & training your puppy. ......

Visit your Vet
After purchasing your Puggle Puppy, try to take an appointment with your veterinarian after few days for complete checkups.

Most Vets prefer a Puppy to settle into its new home for a few days, before starting the vaccination course, but if you wish, you can take your Puggle Puppy for a health check immediately after purchase.

Feeding Your Puggle Puppy
It is best to avoid any sudden changes in diet, especially for the first few days whilst your Puggle Puppy is settling in, so find out what was being fed previously and try to stick to it.

A Puggle Puppy will generally need four small meals a day until twelve weeks of age, reducing in frequency but increasing in size at that point, until an adult will only be eating once or twice a day.

Try to avoid giving fresh milk to your Puggle Puppy as this will upset their tummy. If your Ppuppy is reluctant to eat try adding a little cottage cheese to it's kibble. A Puppy also loves to eat liver sausage, you can try this too with your reluctant Puppy

Beds And Bedding
You need to consider some sort of bedding for your Puggle Puppy, or even a weatherproof kennel if it is to live outdoors.

The best bed to choose is the hard, plastic type, with some form of soft, washable bedding. Avoid the polystyrene - ball filled beanbags - Puppies just love puncturing them with their sharp teeth and distributing the beads around the house.

Crates
The use of a crate is becoming increasingly popular, and if used in the right way, it is of great value to both Puppy and owner.

Your Puggle Puppy needs a proper crate. A proper crate is essential for your Puggle. The crate provides a 'den' for the Puppy when he wants to rest and the owner knows the Puppy is confined in a safe place at times when he cannot be supervised.

In many cases, the crate is portable and can be used in the car and when staying way from home.

Size of a crate is also very important, it should be big enough for the Puggle to stand up, turn around and lie down comfortably.

The crate should be large enough for your Puggle to stretch out on his side to sleep. Also think ahead in terms of your Puggle crate. Keep in mind the size your Puggle will be as an adult.

You may want to purchase a "grow with me" crate that's size can be adjusted, or you may simply want to purchase a new one when your Puggle outgrows the old.

Lead And Collar
A collar and lead will be essential once your Puppy starts to go outdoors, and a tag with the owner's address is a legal requirement.

A Puppy will find a collar strange at first, so allow him to get used to wearing it before you venture outdoors.

Check (or choke) chains should only be used in special circumstances and under expert supervision. It is worth investing in a leather lead, as nylon leads can chaff your hands if the dog puls.

A metal buckle will last a lot longer than the plastic. Select a lead that is made from a similar lightweight material.
